About me
“Eventually everything connects -- people, ideas, objects, etc., ... the quality of the connections is the key to quality per se.”
--Charles Eames
Charles was correct -- good design is rooted in quality, and quality itself has everything to do with the connections a designer can create.
As a multi-disciplinary designer, I try my best to make rich and meaningful connections between human beings, the ideas we have, and the tools we use. In that synthesis of the ideal, the subjective, and the technological, I believe that the world can change for the better.
What does that look like? At Salesforce and Microsoft, at various startups such as Manufacton and Vorto.ai, and everywhere in between, I’ve injected this design philosophy to shape everything from design methodology, working with cross-functional partners, team culture building, influencing executives and leaders, and connecting with end-users and customers. I bring together a strong mix of hard design skills and people-centered soft skills. I love what I get to do!
When I’m not designing, I love to do very stereotypical Colorado things like ski with my kids, yoga, rock climb, and ride my e-bike as much as possible. I also love to read, write, and learn new stuff.

I also run a small design studio, Ghost Town Creative Services, where I offer off-hours client work in UX & product design, copywriting and editing, and semiotic analysis.
